his paper 20 yearB ago.'DEATH RECORDOLMLTEADMrs. Clarissa (Showalter) Olmstead was born in Tuscarawg9 county, Ohio, October 24, 1852, and died in Kalamazoo, Mich., August 23. 1919, aged 06 years, 9 months and 29 days. With bar parents she moved to LaGrange county, Indiana, 1861. She was united in mar* riagetoJohn H. Olmstead, March 5, 1871. To this union two children were born: Harley, who passed away at the age of 19 years in 1891, and Mrs. Lulu M. Garman of Kalamazoo, Mich. After the death of their son Mr. and airs. Olmstead took Miss Ella Olmstead, a niece, into their home. She has passed on to her reward. Afterward Miss Sophie Arends found a home with Mr. and Mrs. Olmstead and she still remains in the home.Mrs. Olmstead is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. A. B. Garman, two risers, Mrs. Susan Stough and Mrs. Hiram Miller, on* brother, L, F. Show alter, and threw grandchildren.She was baptised in infancy iq the Lutheran church and was a life-long member of the church of her choice. For many years she and her fahull were members of Mount Zion Evjuijgei-ical Lutheran church of LaGrange£bat recently a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church of Kalamazoo. Mich.Over a year ago she submitted to • very serious operation and recovered but the recent illness was brief and terminated in death to which she wsf perfectly resigned.Funeral services were held at the residence of L. F. Showaiter in La-Grange Tuesday*at eleven a. m., Mid were in charge of Rev. T. A. EsteU-Burial in Greenwood cemetery. •HOFFMrs. Harriet Huff, aged 71 died last Thursday morning at Use home of hcc son, Charles Ruff; jhC Brushy Prairie, after suffering for several years with cancer. Mrs. wW lived in LsGrange county ail tpe*”*jjfu and was well known, particularly in the vicinity of Plato which was her fc^me. She was active in church Woyhdyrlgg the greater part of her ii fe. Sarvising her are two sons: Charles of BrushyPrairie and Carmi of Plato; twosietfsrs; Mrs. K. E. Butts of LaGranga ;ajpl Mrs. Julia Fostejr of Hudson, Mich.; mother of Attorney L. A Foster of LaGrange; one brother, Horace Gage, of LaGrange, and a half brother, Lyman Fish, east of Plato. The funeral was held at Plato, Friday afterrtooo. Rev. William Daly of Wolcottville officiating. Interment took place at Plato.
