THRESHING CREWPOISONED AT MEALTyndall, S. D. .Aug. 2*.—A peculiar wholesale poisoning case is reported from the farm of Mr. iCortan, near here. While Ren Hughes and his threshing crew were engaged in threshing on the Kortan place, four members of the threshing crew and several other men employed on the place became seriously ill. A physician who was summoned discovered that they had been poisoned. Two of the poisoned men had a narrow escape from death. Just how they were poisoned is a mystery, but the poison is supnosed to have been in some coffee which they drank. It is significant that those who drank the most coffee were in the most serious condition, while those who did not touch the coffee were not affected at all. *
