Clayton McLaughton, of Hedrick, Warren county, came here on Tuesday to attend the funeral of his late broth er-in-law, Elias Gerard. He left here Wednesday morning and stopped off at Lafayette to visit his daughter. His train went on a side track to let an eastbound train pass, and as he was stepping from his train to the platform he was struck by the eastbound engine and instantly killed. He leaves a wife and nine children.
