John P. Squire was found dead on his farm northwest of Sterling last Sunday by Hyrum Jensen and song of Sterling. Not having seen Mr. Squire on big farm since Thursday evening, Mr. Jensen decided to go over and Investigate. He found the horses tied up and almost too weak to walk because of threat. After hunt ing for some time he found Mr. Squire dead on a ditch bank, where he had evidently attempted to change the water when his heart failed him. Tuesday afternoon In the South Ward Chapel funeral services were held with Bishop G. W. Sidwell in charge. The speakers were Andrew Mickelson, Peter Munk, Ernest Madsen and, Bishop Sidwell.As a special musical number Grace and Janice Nielson sang I Know that My Redeemer Lives.” J. P. Hansen offered the opening prayer, Peter Westenshow the benediction, John P. Squire, son of John FE. Squire and Adella DeMill, was born at Manti October 9, 1856 and died from a heart attack August 18, 19382. He was a farmer and stock rarger. He is survived by one son, Loren D. Squire of LaVerkin, Utah, two daughters, Leona Prush of Ventura, Californian and Danny Thorpe of Salt Lake City: two brothers, Aron D. of Manti and Oliver E. of Clar ion, and one sister, Eliza Winget of Monroe.
