To the Citizens of DALLAS COUNTY:.1 A-The fight against my candidacy for County Judge is being marshaled and led by John J. Simmons, Leslie Stemmons and others of the levee district. As Finance Commissioner 1 opposed the expenditure of money to construct water mains in the levee district at a time when there were no houses of business institutions in the 1 evee district to be served. A constitutional amendment would be required to consolidate the city and county governments, and I am opposed and have always been opposed to such a consolidation.1 warn my friends against the propaganda being spread against me by the men promoting the levee district.
