After having been in command of the Meadville sub-station of the state highway patrol for more than a year Corporal L. D Sousac has been transferred to the command of the Franklin station and has as sumed his duties. Corporal John Hardy, Jr. has been transferred from Erie to Meadville to fill the vacancy there. Corporal Sousae has been with the state highway patrol for three years and his home to in Franklin. Only a few weeks ago Corporal Sousae was awarded a citation rib bon for bravery and good judgment while on duty. He had the honor of being the first member of the entire force to earn such distinc tion, and It was while on duty from the Meadville station that he ac quired the counts that led to the award of the citation. His work in capturing an es caped prisoner from the Albion jall brought him recognition from the press of the section, while his judgment in the capture of a pair of armed automobile thieves as they were leaving a local theatre a few weeks ago won him further honors
