The offer was for a five cent an hour increase. The strikers sought a 15 per cent pay boost. The union also sought an agreement whereby foremen would be union members. This demand was refused.R. M, Paxton, vice president of the company, arrived in Fullerton a few days ago to take up negotiations with the union. The strike has been under way since the first of the month.A letter sent W. N. Rollo, plant manager, informed him that tee union was asking the Central Labor council of Long Beach to initiate a coast boycott against the company at once.KNOCKED DOWNSTAIRS
