Messrs Lewis Georgii and Nash Weimer motored to Lawrence Tues day.Mr. Jake Ulrich went to Fredonia, Kansas, Friday, to spend a few days with his son. Mrs. Grossman is on the sick list this week. Mrs. McQueen was 3 Baldwin shopper Thursday morn ing. “Mrs. Kassinger, Jennie and Charley were Baldwin visitors Tues day.Misses Dorcas and Frances Tucker assisted their grandmother, Mrs., Deay, cook for threshers, Thursday.Mrs. Herbert Fitz, of Lawrence, spent Wednesday at Holcom’s. Miss Mabel Pumroy is staying with Mrs. Jake Ulrich this week during the absence of Mr. Ulrich.Mr. and Mrs. Lester Craig were Baldwin visitors Friday. Mr. S. M. Craig is quite sick at this writing. We wish him a speedy recovery. Mrs. McQueen and Mrs. W. E. Lawson were Bald win visitors Saturday. .Mr._and Mrs. Martin, Holcom and daughter Helen spent Sunday with his parents of Pleasant Valley. Miss Bertha Pardee went to Lawrence Tuesday to spend a few days with relatives. The Embroidery club had a very pleasant meeting with Ferne' Mc Queen Thursday. Roll call was answered with jokes which were en joyed by all. Miss Jennie Kas singer was a guest of the club. Light refreshments were served by the hostess, assisted by her sister, Mr, Mrs. W. E. Lawson, and her mother, Mrs. McQueen, at the close, of the meeting. Club ad journed to meet, with Francis Tuck er next Friday. Several from this vicinity attended the dedica tion of the band stand at Baldwin Tuesday, evening. Mrs. Kassin ger and Jennie called on Mrs. Roe Monday. ‘Mr. and Mrs. Dale and Mrs. Paul Eberhart, of Lawrence, called at McQueen’s Wednesday. Mrs. .W._E..
