Social Gathering of an Enjoyable Nature at Which Home Ties are Strengthened. The annual reunion of the Gilliland family was held today, at the local fair ground, well attended and marked by a most enjoyable session in spite of the unfavorable weather. The list of guests included many who reside out side of Van Wert town and county. The following program was given: Address of welcome, President Hon. g E. B. Gilliland: instrumental solo, Miss Gladys Gilliland: recitation, Master Gaylord Tossey: ‘Friendship and Associability,’” extemporaneous: vocal solo, Miss Edith Gilliland: “Social Gatherings in the Sixties,’ Hon. J. S. Stuckey: recitation, Miss Nellie Pollock; duet Mi-ss Burh and Alma’ Gilliland; recitation, Miss Helen Gilliland: recritation, Miss Amber Gilliland; vocal duet, Miss Grace Gilliland and Master Dale Gilli land. The descendants of the late George Dustman held a reunion, on Wednes day, at Scott’s Crossing. At the busi ness session, it was determined to hold the meeting next year at the home of Mrs. H. C. Dustman, of Ridge town ship, on the fourth Wednesday of Au gust. Officers were elected as follows: President, Miss Helen Dustman; secretary, H. C. Dustman; treasurer, D. C. Dustman, Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Jason Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Hi. A. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. 8. E. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Johnson drove to Berne, Ind., in the Rice auto mobile and attended the Farlow family reunion. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Downing and County Recorder Downing have gone to Delaware to attend the annual re union of the Downing family. The Waltz family will hold a reunion on the first day of next month, at Spice Run, in Ridge township. Garner C. Crow is at Ottawa, to day, attending a reunion of the Crow family.
