COMMERCIAL INTELLIGENCE, Aco. 24. BRITISH PLANTATION SuGar.—The market has been very active within the last few days, and the quantity on show has much increased. The sales of the week ening this morning have amounted to full 3,700 sires. East India SuGags.—Not less than 21,300 bags of Mauritius have been publicly offered this week, forming the remainder of the whole of this season's importation. Prices are 1s. per cwt. lower. COFFEE.—British Plantation Coffees are rather less active, but prices are firm. RuM AND BRanDYY.—Proof Leewards are still worth 1s. 7d. per gallon, though business is slack. The five Jamaicas have been changing hands at full prices. About 2,200 puncheos have arrived since this day week. Brandies are firm. ‘S ¥ 1Cges.—There is a steady trade for most Spices, and the deliveries are large. FuRrs—Some extensive sales have this week been made of Furs, on behalf of the Hudson’s Bay Company and others, consisting of all descriptions of valuable and common Furs. Some fine bear skins ale as high as 7i. Woots.—The arrivals from New South Wales, Van Dieman's Land, and Germany, are beginning to be large, and more activity is observable in this market. The public sales next week are anxiously lo ked for. The Hop Duty has advanced to 153,0001.
