ParentsDraw Church Plans For All SaintsThe architectural firm of Edward Dart Associates of Chicago has been engaged by the All Saints' Lutheran church of Orland Park to draw plans for the new church building to be located on LaGrange road at 134th street, immediately adjacent to the Carl Sandburg high school. It is hoped that construction will start this fall, so as to enable occupancy by the spring of 1962. Henry L. Moorehouse, is chairman of the board of trustees of the local parish and John L. Lan-din of Palos Park is the chairman of the building committee.Edward D. Dart, head of the firm that bears his name, has won national recognition forhis design of the St. Augustine’s Episcopal church in Gary. Ind. He presently has church projects underway in Bensenville, Barrington and Thornton.The All Saints’ parish is one of the newest churches in this area, having been organized on January 15, 1961. Its first service was held in Orland in September of 1960. Until the new church is erected, morning worship and church school services will be conducted in the Orland Elementary’ school, 143rd street and West avenue. The Rev. Norman A, Hjelm, is pastor of the church and resides at 14422 Oakley avenue.
