-Hornets TakeThe Hornets, second-roundchampions of the National leagueof the Mount Greenwood Little, defeated the Wildcats, 9 to 6, last week'Of win the league's world series. —The Hornets won the firstgame in the three-game set, 10to 2. The Wildcats evened the series with a 5 to 4 victory in the second game that went seven - innings.In second-round play, the Hornets had a record of eight victories and two defeats. The Wildcats went undefeated in the American league, winning nine.
