The Rev. Robert W. Caswell, pastor of the Reno Unity Center for the last 18 years, died sudden ly at his home, 336 St. Sparks, late this morning. The Rev. Mr. Caswell came to Reno as Unity Center pastor from the bay area in 1938. Before mov ing to this community he had been pastor of the Richmond, Calif., Unity Truth Center. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, April 19, 1895. As a child he moved with his parents to Seattle, Wash., and attended the local schools there and the University of Wash ington. When a young man he moved to California and for a time was Pa cific coast manager of the Wat kins Co. A short time later he en tered the Unity Training Center for the Ministry on the coast and was graduated from that school. He had been pastor of the Unity Center church in Burlingame be fore going to Richmond. The Rev. Mr. Caswell was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the San Francisco Marina post of the American Legion. He was also a member of the executive board of the Unity Ministers Association, a nation- wide organization of pastors of his church. With Mrs. Caswell he moved to Sparks to reside about a year and a half ago. Prior to that time the couple had made their home in Reno during their residence in this area. Survivors include his widow, Fay, of Sparks; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Wood of Oakland and Mrs. Paul Zeffer of Los Angeles; a stepson, Paul Caswell of Los An geles; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Miesse of Oakland. Funeral services will be an nounced by the Ross-Burke Co.
