NEWS “BUTCH” CAUGHT REDHANDEDMarshal Doyle Seizes 10 Half-pints From News Butch’sSupply Trunk on Train Thursday Night—Hootch Peddler Now “Resting” in County Jail.Armed with a search warrant Marshal Chas. Doyle and night Marshal Leon Redwine last night boarded train No. 34 (Bilbo) which arrives here about 7 o'clock. The officers called the “News Butch over to his supplies and then proceeded to go into the fellow's trunk. At the bottom of the trunk they found 10 half pint bottles of red whiskey wrap-! ped up in newspapers. The officers I put the trunk and supplies in the bag-I gage room at the depot for safe keep-i ing. The News Butch was put in jail and the whiskey put in a locker in the City Hall.This morning before Judge Young the News Butch who gave his name as Louis Moreto and claiming New I Orleans a9 his home, pleaded guilty | to the charge of having whiskey in 'his possession. Judge Young fined I the fellow $200 and costs also giving him in addition 30 days in jail. Moreto wired for money to pay his fine, but will have to serve his 30idays in jail. _
