RESPECTEDCITIZEN DIEDLAST NIGHTmWilson Duckworth Passes Away at the Ripe Age of Sixty-Nine Years. ’Wilson Duckworth, one of Laurel’s oldest and best citizens, died last , night at 8:30'o’clock, aft* an ill-1 ness covering a period df threemonths, at the family home at the corner of 12th avenue- and 10th ^ street. lt;IMr. Duckworth was the father of five boys, all of them living*. They are G. C. Duckworth, who lives at Louin in Jasper county; L C. Duckworth, who lives in Smith county;1 J. D. Duckworth, and Wilson Duckworth, Jr., who live at Hattiesburg*, and Bryant Duckworth, of Laurel.Mr. Dueworth has been living in ’ Laurel for many years, and has been one of the city's staunchest citizens, always lending his every effort to the promotion of the best interest of .the city.He was sixty-nine years of age, and besides his children is survived by a wife.Funeral services will take place at3:30 this afternoon from the resi-j dence and interment will be had inthe Hickory Grove cemetery.
