Obituary.After a lingering illness of more than a year Jefferson Said died Saturday, August 19, t 8P3. The funeral was held i at tite M. £1. church Sunday, at three; o’clock p. m., according to the forms i of the Grand Army, Her. Lothian preaching the funeral sermon. iMr. .Said was born in Illinois, but in early life removed toMaquoketa, Iowa, where he enlisted when the war broke out, in the iSlst Iowa for tltree years, lie was under Grant and took part in the siege of Vicksburg, and other important military operations. In the spring ol‘ ’03 he was discharged for lung trouble, and had never been in robust health since.
