Items of Interest from Sullivan, Del aware and the Midland Counties. Correspondence of the Argus and Mercury. ‘The case of A. 8. Rockwell, vs John Hi. Divine, which was commenced in Jus tice’s Court before Cleveland Darbee, of Rockland, who gave the plaintiff a judg ment for the amount claimed, the action being for a note of $100, given by Divine to Rockwell on condition that Rockwell furnish evidence that would put Divine in possession of real estate to which his claim was doubtful has been argued and the judgment reversed with costs against Rock well amounting to $47.93. ~Legrand Morris, of the Mansion House, Monticello, reports business as being quite brisk, in fact better than ever before. He has had as high as 125 boarders at one time this season. There must be now at least one thousand city people in and about Monticello, and it is safe to say that they will leave at least $100,000 in the town. They will go away contented, and very much improved in health~and spirits, and will return next season in larger numbers. MOUNTAIN DALE. Correspondence of the Argus and Mercury. ~Most of our farmers are through hay ing. The crop is a large one. John Downie, of Pennsylvania, is visiting his brother at this place. ~Miss Fannie Fitch, of Columbia county, is visiting her brother A. C. Fitch. —Mr. Morris Downie, of Mountain Dale, has a fine yoke of four-year-old oxen for sale.
