The Ukiah (Oul.) Dispatch relates the following sad storj' of theravages ot that fell disease diphtheria : The Walker \ alley schooldistrict last year contained IT Bchool children. Some monthsago diphtheria broke out iu the valley, and to-day but 5 ot the17 remain. In this particular lo*.caiity the disease has acu-d like aplague. The school will soon bedisorganized, as the law requiresten children to entitle any districtto draw public money.
