Sauk County Nominations,]FJaAt a meeting of the whiga of Sauk, held at the house of John Hoover on the I4th day of August, A. D. 1947, Mr. Janies Maxwelf, of the Baraboo, wns chosen Moderator, and Arba M. Seymour Secretary of said meeting.On motion of Mr. James Christie, and voted, that the Moderator or Secretary appoint a committee of six to recommend nnmes to fill the several county offices, to be filled the coming election.Whereupon, Wra. Eiky, Rossi H R. Remington, Lyman Clark, Calvin Dan forth, Nathan Kellogg and Zoath Eldridge were chosen said committee.The committee having retired a short time, returned and recommended the following names respectively, which wns unanimously adopted by the mooting.For County Commissioners——James Christie, Calvin Dan forth, Curtis Bales.Clerk of Board of County Commissioners—Rosil It. Remington.Register of Deeds—Present Brigham.Collector—Wni. Fambatn, Jr.County Surveyor—Arba RJ, Seymour.Treasurer—James Maxwell.Coronor—Andrew Hodgct.Road Supervisors—Egbert Cary, Zoath Eld ridge, Benj. Johnson, James Maxwell, Ebenczer Eldridgo, Valentin B, Hill, Jonathan Harris.Assessors—James H. Harris, Urial Kendall, Cyrus Hill.Constables—Francis W ebster, Zoath Eld ridge.Fence Viewers—Wm, Eiky, Nathan Kellogg, Lyman Clark.R. R. Remington, Edward Sumner and Wm, H. Hubbard were chosen a Whig Central Committee for this county.Ths following Resolution was unanimously adopted :j Resolved, That we, the wbigs of Saukcounty will support the foregoing nomina-;ion by giving our votes and attendance nl the polls, nod that we will use nil honorable means tosccuro thoir election,Also, it was voted that the proceedings of this meeting bo signed by the Secretary and forwarded to the Madison Express for publication.(Signed) ARBA M.
