New facilities in Dist. 227 goalsThe subject of additions ot gymnasiums and auditoriums again is on the minds of students, members of the community and staff in Rich Township High School District 227.Dr James Warren, District 227 superintendent, presented to the board of education Monday his annual report on goals for the staff and administration during thecoming year,The goals, elicited from students, staff and members of the community, are reviewed and compiled each year by a committee made up of members of the admin istrative staff, students and teachersAMONG THE GOALS presented to the board this year was one which asked the superintendent to look for funds for additions which would equalize facilities at the district’s three campuses.Two years ago, a referendum proposal to sell more than $10 million in bonds to fund, among other projects, a new gymnasium at the South campus, auditoriums at the South and Central campuses and swimming pools at all three campuses, failed to gain voter approval Though there is no mention in the current statement on goals of adding swimming pools at any of the campuses, toequalize facilities among all three cam puses would mean building auditoriums at both Rich South and Rich Central and a gymnasium at Rich South.
