In’this case *4 merchandise** 1 Consisted of 216 bottles of Dow*s Canadian ale, which was . being transported in a Cleveland automob ile*The two defendants waived examin ation and were held for the* derm of the Federal District Court which convenes at Schenectady September 5th, Bonds were required by the ^commissioner- in the sum of $1,0Q each, in default of which the defendants were committed to the Custody of. the sheriff.U. S. Customs Officer ' Lacombe made the seizure in this ease.* Monday evenirtgfon a highway in otf near Potsdam. *The Cleveland car was not overtaken until after a long chase by Officer Lacombe and the officers who assisted him. as the* Cleveland showed much speed and the F driver used his best efforts in the attempt to escape from the pursuing officers.
