Timothy Downey this week receiv ed an interesting and very welcome letter from his son John Downes who was thought to have landed In Italy but whom it appears is in one of the big training camps In France He says that the American soldiers are accorded the best of treatment by the French people who seem will ing to do anything to please the boys who are making the long ocean trip in order to save their country from the invaders
