Bome of the neighboring children were proaont and the younger ones of the assemblage were being entertained by an exhibition of the national grime. The game was becoming desperate.when one of the players went to bat bent on knocking the cover off the sphere. He threw the stick, which struck a three-year old son of the' household on the left temple, making an ugly cut which lay the skull bare for about two inches. Its mother brought the child to town and Dr. Martin dressed the wound and the little fellow is getting along nicely.
