Early Settlers Association Adopt Reso lutions of Respect. ‘The funeral of the late Gilbert Perry was held yesterday afternoon from the family residence on Burch street, a large number of friends of the deceased being in attendance. Services were conducted by the Rev. Amos Crum, of Webster City, formerly pastor of the Universalist church, assisted by the choir of the Con gregational church. Dr. J. P. Quigley, John Bell, Captain John Palmer, A. Schoenthal, Wm. Wilkinson and Jesse T. Sarrett were the honorary pall-bearers. The active pall-bearers were the gix clerks in Perry Bros.’ store. The Early Settlers Aesociation adopted the following resolutions to the memory of the deceased: Whereas, In the dispensation of Provi dence another member of our association has been removed from the scenes of his early life; therefore, Resolved, That by the death of Gilbert Perry our society has lost a worthy member and the community a highly respected citi zen, one whose residence of forty years in our city was that of an honest man and a resen ived.
