Obituary.John Peter Gunnerson was boru in Breased Socken, Holland’s Lane, Sweden, | March 5th, 1852, and died at Bishop Hill,! Aug 21, 1894, aged 42 years 5 months and 10 days He came to this country in the fall of ’57; on Sept, 12,’92, ho was married to Caroline Wexcl. Mr. Gunnerson was a pleasant upright and very industrious man and an incessant worker up to the last minute. His acquaintances were his friends. In politics he waa os ardent a republican as Weller possessed. By his death he leaves a wife, one child, a brother and sister in this country and an older sister in Sweden, besides other rolatives and many friends to mourn their loss. Rev. Axel Gabrielson oillciated at the funeral which was held fronf the M E. church Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Gabrielson took for his text the 4th verse of the 9th chapter in John’s gospel: “I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh when no man can work. Mr. Benson as a personal friend of the deceased also made a few remarks.
