B Sellers, to park the grounds now used by the cantonment, which are the property of the university. The plan of Colonel Sellers is to plant the grounds with trees of many varieties. “We could ask every citizen of the state who cared to donate a tree,” he said, ‘to send them to the campus on a designated day, provided they are unable to plant their own trees. The engineering students of the university could survey the ground and stake the eooth where trees should be planted The donations need not be confined even by the state. Prominent men and women thrmmhont America could be invited to furnish a tree as a memoral. The trees should be syste matical’ tagged with the names of the donore and there names preserved as the trees grew into permuepen rhonament? ‘Kael donor could care for his or her own tree or could obtain the ser vices of a university student for a) amali sum, who would care for the tree. Trees from outside persons could be cared for by the caretaker of the university grounds. There are a20 acres in the grounds and they could be made into a beautiful park with out expense to the university. “I believe that as many as 1,000 persons in Albuquerque would be enough interested in this plan to do nate trees and fully half that num ber could be obtained throughout the state and from other states. This plan probably will be brought before the board of regents of the university
