The block of stores and apartments at the corner of Langley road and Union street, Newton, has passed from 8S. J. Wilde to the Newton Realty Trust. Papers covering the transaction have been recorded through the offices of Henry W. Savage, Inc. The property is to be entirely rebuilt at an expense of more than $25,000. It consists now of five stores and 10 apartments, and when remodelled will have eight to 10 large stores, modern in every respect, and 10 five or six-room apartments. Not alone has the block in Newton changed owners as a result of this transaction, but along with it goes the Horace Cou sens property on Union street, adjoin ing the parcel containing the stores and apartments. The block in this tri angle contains practically the only stores available in this part of Newton and are all located directly opposite the Newton Centre railroad station. When completely rebuilt, the block will take its place as one of the most attractive business buildings of the city.
