WORLD S TOUR IS PLANNED FOR GOTCHChampion May Close Deal to Wrestle in Every Large City on the Qlobe.A tour around the world wrestling in every city of importance on the globe and visiting every place of prominence on the map, is ir store for Frank Gotch, following hl^ match with Hackenschmidt at Chicago on Labor Day. Plans have not been completed as yet, but, accord- 4 lng to Manager Klank, a tempting 3 offer has been made the champion j and it is likely that he will ac- j cept.The show will be made up of three prominent sportsmen, a boxer, wrestler and one other athlete of importance. The two who will be selected to travel with Gotch have not been determined upon.Gotch has been offered a flat $50,-000 for the tour, win or loose at Chicago. The trip will tako about a year. Every country will bo visited, even to the Indian lands, whire wrestling is little known. One thing that looks good to Gotch is the lion hunting in Africa. The champion expects to make side trips of this nature while away if the deal Is put through.It is probable that this tour will end Gotoh’s days on the wrestling mat. He has a small fortune a’-rcady and with $21,000 cold cash for the Hack match, added to the above purse for the contemplated tour, ho will be placed among the four hundred. His recent coming out of retirement, netted the champion $33,000.
