Mrs. H. M. Swanson The Pierick family reunion was held Sunday in the St. Jo seph Church parlors with a pich dinner atenoon. Attendi ng were Mr. and Mrs. Barmey Pierick of Anthon, Mr. and Mrs. Kim Pierick, Danbury, Mrs. Joe ‘Mienhardt, Carroll, Mr. and Afrs, Clem Paris, Ayrshire, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pierick, Pocahon tne, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wie ers, Pomeroy, Mr. and Mrs. tart Kirsch and family, Coon Rapids, Mrs. Dick Bennett and girls, Rolfe, Mrs. Bernadette Hoffman and boys, Sioux City, Mrs. Gertrude Dale and boys, Spencer, WIN Pierick, Mr. and Mrs. Reno Bianch, Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pierick and Jeff, Bode, Mrs. Jim Shoor, Deann, and Lisa Pierick of An thon, George Pierick and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pierick of Pal mer. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Oaken attended the funeral of their brother in-law, John D. Wiese, at Fort Dodge Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Gillican of Fort, Dodge were Sunday after noon coffee guests of their un cle, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Oaken. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schoon were Sunday dinner guests in the home of their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Zeman and fam ily at Laurens. They also at tended the open house of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Land at Lau rens, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Pulley and children returned home af ter a vacation trip sightseeing in parts of Utah and Colorado. Several days were spent in Den ver. Peterson Reunion The annual Peterson reunion was held Sunday with a potluck dinner at noon in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Meppen at Pocahontas. Attending were El mer Peterson of Laurens, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peterson and Leon of Somers, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Metzger and girls of Fort Dodge, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ricklefs of Gilmore City, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Metzger, Ben Metzger and Mr. and Mrs. El don Peterson, Carla. Craig and Phone 2831 Kerry, all of Palmer, and Miss Marela Meppen of Omaha, Neb, Saturday evening, callers of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Peterson and family were Mr. and Mrs. Bil Schossany and Grege and Mrs Elmer Beekman of Poca hontas. Sunday evening visit ors in the Peterson home were Mroon and Mrs. Harold Peterson of Somers and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Beekman and Tami of Pocahontas, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Janssen and Tony and Mrs. Ronald Wessels and children went to Sioux Falls, S.C., Wednesday to visit their daughter and sis ter, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Jans. Mrs. Edward Miller and fam ily and Mrs. Terry Albers and son, Tyron, of Eagle Butte, S.Sy., visited In the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wessels from Wednesday until Sunday. They also visited Mrs.Anna Wes sels at Sunset Hill Manor in Rolfe. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Muenzen may and family of Hull were Sunday guests in the parental Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wessels home. Douglas and Brenda Muenzenmay remained for a longer visit with their grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wes sels. Thursday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Claus Van Hoveln were Robert Schoon and Henry Van Hoveln of Sunset Hill Man or, Ralfe. Mr. and Mrs. Claus Van Hov vin were Sunday afternoon Visitors in the home of Mrs. Rena Smith at Pomeroy. The ladies are sisters, Denise McClurg of Pocahon tas spent Monday in the home of Cathy Murman. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Kaiser, Mr. and Mrs. William Saathoff and Mr. and Mrs. Helo Buhs spent the weekend fishing at Spirit Lake. Mr.and Mrs. Garry Bauer and family were Saturday even ing visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nelson at Webster City. Mr. and Mrs. Barry Trout and Hayley of Eldora and Mr. J and Mrs. Al Selk of Rapid City, S. D., were also guests in the Nelson home. The ladies are sisters. An outing was enjoyed Sun day afternoon at Twin Lakes by Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bauer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Russel Bauer of Webster City, Mrs. Richard Olson of Fort Dodge, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Janssen and Dallas of Palmer and Tim and Kevin Bauer of Numa, Towa. Cathy Murman spent Saturday and Sunday in the Donald Har rold home. Mr. and Mrs. John F. Peter sen, assisted by Mrs. Louis Arends and Mrs. E. W. Hall berg, entertained 20 guests at a luncheon Friday evening in the Elfsborg Church — parlors following the rehearsal for the wedding of Nadine Sechusen and Richard Petersen. Recent supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Eichelberger were Mr. and Mrs. Don Miles chik of Arcadia, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Claude Wilson of Have lock, Mrs. Edna Hawk and sons of Laurens, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Aden and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Eichelberger, Nancy, Rog ier and Carol. The evening was spent playing cards. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Aden had as their Sunday supper guests Mr. and Mrs. Robert Aden, Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Aden, Mr. and Mrs. Jim John son of Jolley and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Milius of Columbus, O. Mr. and Mrs. Harris Peters and family of Pocahontas were Wednesday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hartman and family. A potluck dinner was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Har ris Peters Sunday in honor of F. A. LeRoy Peters , who is home on leave. Those present were Mrs. Anna Murman and John, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hart man and family, Ed Hartman, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Vetter and family of Manson, Mrs. Mary Peters of Pomeroy and Mr. and Mrs. Donald McLain Sr., and Donnie. Afternoon cal lers were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Olson and son and Mr. and Mrs. David Hammer and son from Minnesota. Miss Sharon Harrold of Chi cago, TL, was a Thursday even ing visitor in the Herman Mur man home. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jacobson of Ottosen and Mrs. Minus Ab rahamson were Sunday after noon guests in the Mrs. Helen Maim home. Mrs. Robert Patch, David and Nancy, of Sioux City are visiting this week in the paren tal Mr. and Mrs. George Metz ger home. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bumann and Brian of Storm Lake were Sunday dinner guests in the parental George Metz ger home. A group of relatives and friends went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Werner and fam ily at Manson Sunday evening for a housewarming. Those pre sent were Mrs. Hazel Grey, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beneke and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gerdes, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hartman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Vetter and fam ily of Palmer, Mrs. Marie Ger bers, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Grey and family and Miss Ame la Wiedeman of Manson. A lunch brought by the self-invit ed guests, was served at the close of the evening. Visitors In the home of Joe Murray and Mrs. Monica Hugh es Tuesday and Wednesday of last week were their niece, Mrs. Linus Koester, and children of Breda. Walter Weimers, Joe Murray and the Scott children attended the Threshers Reunion at Alden Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Siefkes were Sunday afternoon and evening guests in the Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stegge home at Lohr ville. Ray Schoon of Adel was a Saturday dinner guest in the home of his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Erie. He also visit ed other relatives and friends in the Palmer area. Mrs. Florence Pearson, Mrs. Hilmer Johnson and Mrs. Olga Behrens enjoyed a picnic dinner with Mrs. Tillie Hedman and granddaughters at Atlantic Sun day. En route home they visited in the Jim Sinaw home at Audu bon. Mr. and Mrs. John Habben were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Larson Monday evening of last week. Mrs. Hattie Wiegert returned home Sunday after spending the past two months with her son, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Wiegert and family at Los Angeles, Calif. She came by plane to Omaha where Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wiegert met her. Mr. and Mrs. Diedrich Sief ken of Palmer and Mr. and Mrs. James Ernest and family of Pomeroy were Sunday dinner guests of their daughter and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Welty, and family at Omaha, Neb. Brenda Hartley, who had spent the week in the Welty home, returned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kleen of Gilmore City and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Murman spent the weekend in Sioux City. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Francis, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Knierium of Fort Dodge and Mr. and Mrs. Hop Leadley of Fort Dodge re turned home Friday evening from a week's fishing trip at Ear Falls, Ontario, Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Francis and grandson, Dana Francis, were Sunday supper guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Flaherty and family at Marathon. Dana remained for a longer visit at the Flaherty home. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Swalin and Karen were Mr. and Mrs. Rue ben Blomberg, Mrs. Harlan Wittkopf, Carl and Leonard Anderson, and Mr. and Mrs.
