* T * ♦i , I #Farms Are Identified( 4 • ''The 27th Manly Signal Mystery Farm was the 240 acre farm of Lewis Peshak, six and a half, miles east of Manly on highway No. 9.The place has been in the Peshak family for about 75 years. Theodore Feshak, father of Lewis, purchased a part of the land and moved there from St. Ansgar. The farm acres have been added to from time to time during theyears. All of the nine Peshak children were born-on this farm except Gilbert/ the oldest, who was born near St. Ansgar. The others are Mrs. Ed Cobeen (Lillie), Cali fornia, Mrs. Emma Hodges, Ft. Collins, Colo.; Mrs. Philip Strand, Manly; Lewis, Manly; Frank, Plymouth; Mrs., Oswald Strand, (Maude) Plymouth; Frank andOrin, Plymouth.Lewis remained to farm the place until 1948 when he retired and moved to Manly. His son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gregory, are now on the farm and both Mr. and Mrs., Peshak continue with unabated enthusiasm their interest in the place helping to raise the stock-of feed cattle and hogs and chickens and the wide variety of garden and grain crops. Both families are members of the Methodist church at Plymouth.Raymond Wirtjes and Barbara Gregory were the first to identify the farm.
