Mrs. Fred Strauch was arrested Sunday night by Policeman Berry Jackson for the theft of $80 from R. Deffenbough of Hasty, Newton county. Forty dollars was re covered by officers. Mrs. Strauch was placed in the city jail and trial before Mayor Rex Worthing ton was set for 3 o'clock this afternoon . Five arrests were made Saturday night on drunkenness charges Cleo West, Dwight Campbell, Snipe Collins, Jimmie Dean and Cleve Frederick were each arrested on drunkenness charges. Trial was set for 3 o'clock this afternoon before Mayor Worthington. Lions’ club team will include sev eral stars such as Marvin Wagley, Powell R. Corley, Dr. J H Fow ler and the Rey F. J Stowe.
