Rudolph Hutz Arrested On Serious Charge. Concord, N. H., August 21—Rudolph Hutz, Boston manager of the Bayer company of New York, was arraigned here today on the charge of violation of the trading with the enemy act, specifically transmitting information to the imperial German government and with violation of the espionage act. Hutz is a chemist and according to officials was connected with the Ger man “slush” fund of $30,000,000 con trolled by Dr. Albert in New York. Government agents said the arrest was important. It was made shortly after midnight under dramatic circum stances. Rowing out to Pine Island in Lake Winnipesaukee, in the dead of night, deputy marshals and secret service men crept ashore and surrounded th cottage of Hutt. Then cautiously ap proaching from all sides they rushed into the cottage and into the bedroom of Hutz and made him prisoner. Hutz was rated a dangerous man and no chances were taken with him. Handcuffed to Deputy Marshal Peter Smith, Hutz was taken to the main land and brought to Concord.
