Anna Shaffer, 89 Years of Age, Sews Without SpectaclesMrs. Anna Shaffer, mother of Deputy Sheriff Jesse Shaffer, is 89 years old and is probably the oldest resident of Aberdeen. Despite her advanced years ehe is very spry, going out doors every day and is able to take entire care of herself. She can see to sew without the aid of spectacles and Is now busily engaged in making a crazy quilt to-while away the idle moments. She was born in New Jersey. Her maiden name is Demarest, she being a member of the famous family of that name.
