Circleville, oO. The annual convocation of the Most Excellent Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons for the State of Ohio and its jurisdiction, convened in this city last Monday morning at 10 o’clock at Eagle Hall. Anderson, Hamilton, Keeper of Archives. Tuesday evening a chapter of High Priests conferred the order of Priesthoood upon Companions Boyd and Newman. The annual communication of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge for the State of Ohio and its Jurisdiction (colored), assembled in Eagle Hall, at 10 a.M., and opened in ample form with the following officers pres ent: Samuel W. Clark, Cincinnati, Most Worshipful Grand Master; Wm. T.Boyrd, Cleveland, R. W. D. Grand Master; J. J. Sparrow, Columbus, 8. C. Warden; Alex. Morris, Louisville, J. G. Warfllen; A J. Anderson, Hamilton, G. Treasurer; C. Lb. Maxwell, Xenia, G. Sec retary; J. Dickerson, Circleville, G. Lecturer; J. A. Brown, Cleveland, G. Marshal; I. A. Collins, Hamilton, 8. Deacon; A. Singleton, Harveysburg, Ohio, G. J. Deacon; W. H. Buckner, Cinginnat, G. 8. Steward; James Down, Dayton, 66. J. Steward; J. H. Cain, London, G. Guy, Xenia, G. Pursuivant. The representatives of foreign Grand Lodges were present, as follows: M.W.W., T. Boyd, P. G.M., Dominica; R.W., Jeremiah A. Brown, Liberia; R.W., John R. Blackburn, Hamburg; M.W., William Hi. Parham, Hungary and Italy. The presence of Dr. Peter Ray, P.G.M., for the State of New York; Patrick H. Resor, also P.G.M., for the same jurisdiction; Alex. D. King, M.W. Grand Master for Kentucky, and also ex-Senator J. Henri Burch, P.G., orator of the Grand Lodge of Louisiana, being announced, they were form ally introduced and invited to seats near the Grand t. The officers elect were publicly installed at Peck’s Hall last night, the ceremony being initiated by a pub lic parade in the afternoon. Rev. J. W. Barber, of Cambridge, delivered the address. Fremont. On Saturday evening last Croghan Lodge, No. 77, I. oO. VII. ce apec wassats resolutions on the death of R. B. Buckland, a member of that lodge. Mr. Buck land was also Recorder of Fremont Chapter, R. A. M. Clyde Lodge, Knights of Honor, will give a basket picnic at Green Spring Grove, on Wednesday next, and have invited all the neighboring lodges to partici pate. It is probable that the brethren from this city will turn out largely. 5 Lincoln Lodge, No.28, Daughters of Rebekah, was instituted on Monday evening last at Odd Fellows’ Hall by Grand Master H. P. Gravatt, of Columbus. There were forty-eight charter members. The follow ing officers were elected: Mrs. H. R. Bowlus, N. G.; Mrs. R. Carl, V. G.; Miss Cora Stahl, Recording Secre tary; Miss Addie B. Rosebaugh, Financial Secretary; Mrs.J. P. Moore, Treasurer; Jas. H. Fowler, R. 8. to N. G.; 8. Buckland, L. 8. to N.G.; Miss Minnie Treat, U.; 3. E. Anderson, O. G.; Miss James Eddy, I. G.; John Tuat, R. 8. to V. G.; Mrs. Isaiah Sucas, L. 8. to V. G. The regular meetings will be held on first and third Friday evenings of each month.
