Facts ox which every Man may make his own Comments.— Five negroes who i hail runaway from this State, were last week captured in Pennsylvania am! brought back to Baltimore. When taken they were found j to he “armed xcilh revolvers and knives On the night of the 8ih, W. L. Chaplin, aPreacher, and Editor of the Portfolio, an Abolition paper published at Albany, N. Y.i was delected in carrying off two slavesfrom Washington, D. C. lie was carried | back to the city and committed to prison. All three were armed with revolvers,! which were freely used against the officers,! who secured them. Who furnished the Negroes with revolvers ? In July 1849, there was a meeting of abolitionists at Syracuse, New York. At that meeting the following Resolution, which wc think is a full answer to the preceding question, W3S adopted :—“Resolved, That instead of sending Bibles among the slaves, we had infinitely better adopt the suggestions of the memorable Liberty Party’s Address to the slaves, and supply them with pistols !”Chaplin will be tried in this State.--Md.' Republican.
