Police seek public’s help in murder casePolice are seeking the public’s help in their ongoing investigation of an apparent Irvine murder — only the second this year.Irvine police officers discovered the man’s body Sunday morning in an agricultural fieldarea near the intersection of Old Laguna Canyon Road and the 133 Freeway. Police said they need the public’s help to identify thevictim.Police said the victim had apparently been shot in the upper body at the scene with a small caliber weapon.The victim is described as a male Hispanic, between 20 and 40 years old, medium built, between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall with a dark complexion, long, collar-length, blackhair and a one-inch closely cropped border on the back neckarea.If you can provide any information regarding the identity of the victim and/or any suspicious activity observed in the area of the crime, please contact Investigator Gary Cain at (949) 724-7171 or Sgt.
