By Bo Petersen Gazette Staff Reporter KINGS MOUNTAIN — The nude body of a Gastonia woman found Sunday was identified Monday and a Grover man was charged her killing. Tina Bridges Childers, 28, 2401 Myrtle Ave., was strangled to death sometime after 1 a.m. Saturday. Mark Steven Ray, 18, 105 Andrews Drive, Grover, has been charged with killing Ms. Childers and was held Monday without bond in the Gaston County jail. Gaston County police on Monday said they had no firm motive for the killing. But Ray admitted to the crime, said Capt. Archie Huffstetler.
