A Westover man was killed yester day morning when his late model Corvette struck the side of a bridge along Rt. 7. near Core. James W. (Skip Foley, 43, of 383 Pennsylvania Ave., was killed when his 1967 Corvette rammed the bridge on the driver's side. State Police reported that Foley was traveling east on Rt. 7 West at a high rate of speed after passing several cars. He apparently lost con trol of his vehicle, causing it to hit the bridge. The car was split into numerous pieces by the impact of the wreck, police said. Foley was found lying on his back in Dunkard Creek. Born Nov. 26, 1932, in Cassville, he was a son of William Foley of Cassville and the late Ida Foley. He was a mine foreman with Blacksville No. 1 mine and a member of the Riverside Apostolic Church. Survivors in addition to his father include his wife, Betty Joann Foley; two daughters, Linda Kay McMasters of Morgantown and Cynthia Lou Foley. at home: one sister, Mrs. Betty Satterfield of Cassville, and two grandchildren.
