Van Nuys chapter of SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) re ceived its official charter Tuesday in Mayor Tom Bradley's office at Van Nuys Administrative Cen ter, 14410 Sylvan St. Mayor Bradley has donat ed office space at the center for use by SCORE coun selors to meet with small businessmen and women in need of their services, a spokesman explained. Presentation of the char ter was made by Arthur E. Kraus of Beverly Hills, a member of the national SCORE committee to the newly elected Van Nuys Chapter chairman Frank Russell. Already serving the San Fernando Valley business community out of the new SCORE office are 14 coun selors who will advise cli ents every Tuesday and Thursday by appointment only. Appointments may be made by telephoning 782- 6124, extension 500. The Van Nuys Chapter also plans to add new counselors to its rolls. Counselors are retired, successful businessmen and women with a wide range of expertise. The pro gram is cosponsored by AC TION, the federal govern ment’s volunteer agency and the Small Business Administration.
