Miss Linda Louise Bennett became the bride of Donald C. Eisinger Jr. on Aug. 11 in a ceremony at the Immanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. Harry Clifton officiated at the evening double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert P. Bennett of Independence, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald C. Hisinger Sr. of Clinton, Iowa. The bride selected a gown of organza and Venise lace with a slightly gathered skirt and deep hemline flounces. Lace was used to create a bib effect on the bodice, and lace trimmed the bishop sleeves and the matching mantilla, which was held by a Juliet cap. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and baby’s breath. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Pennie Hogan, as matron of honor; and by Miss Jodi McNamara and Miss Patty McCormick as bridesmaids. Eldon Giese acted as best man. Groomsmen were Rick Melton and Alan Eisinger, brother of the bridegroom; and ushers were Walt Leslie, Jim Rhutenbeck, Tom Finnell and Bill Lindsay. Mrs. Eileen Vanatta was soloist, and Mrs. Ochis Borden was at the organ. Assisting at the reception were Mrs. Betty Manthaney, Mrs. Janice Lindsay and Mrs. Kathy Leslie. Mrs. Ann Hester, an aunt of the bride, was in charge of the guest book. Mr. and Mrs. Eisinger took a wedding trip to California. MRS. DONALD C. EISINGER JR. (Linda Louise Bennett)
