The Christian Herald held a Polly anna celebration on Thursday, August 1, in honor of Elinor H. Porter, au thor of the book of “Pollyanna,” which first appeared as a serial story in the Christian Herald. A luncheon was served to the staff and writers of the Christian Herald at the Children’s Home at Nyack-on-the-Hudson. Mrs. Grace Livingston Hill Lutz, of this bor ough, was one of the guests of honor.
