saeit'wereROSE TOWNSHIP PICNICEighteenth Annual Harvest Home Was a Pleasant Event— Fiala Band Late Arriving, But Got There Just the Same, and Pleased the People.The 18th annual Rose township harvest home picnic was held Saturday,at Cooper Grove, which Is located about four miles southeast of Magnolia. People began to arrive at 8o’clock from all over the county, gome came In buggies, others in large transfer wagons, while others came on the railroad and in automabiles, and a few walked—any way to get there. The many horses hitched through the grove reminded one of an immense circus. The warm weather made the ice cream cone conspicuous in the hands of both old and young. Peanuts, ice cold pop andQuartette Royale, of iNorth Georgetown, Ohio, which is composed of Messrs. Leander Stoffer, C. B. Mead, Prank Hahn and C. G. Meyers. They did excellent work and were well appreciated. Invocation, by Rev. Heron; address of welcome, by T. C. Far-rel; music by Quartette Royale; selections by Fiala Military band. The program was adjourned at 12 o’clock for dinner and what an excellent dinner It was! The tables were loaded with good things; one breaking down under its heavy burden. Everyone immediately began to relieve the tables of the heavy strain with which they were charged.
