Elias Gerard was taken to his home in an unconscious condition Wednesday afternoon. After loading J. N. Wing field’s household goods on a dray at the Noland residence he attempted to get on when the horse suddenly started, throwing him between the side wheels, one of which passed over his stomach. His collar-bone was broken and he re ceived severe internal injuries. The horse was caught near Baum's black smith shop. A large amount of canned fruit and maple syrup were ‘‘pied’’ on the street, and some of the furniture broken. The drawing outfit belongs to Arthur Robinson, who went to the St. Louis fair Tuesday.
