TO PROSECUTECedar_ Point Company Again is the IntentionOf-the Reform-Committee—Bar on the Wehrle Kept Open Yesterday.Well, •what; are the farther in ten* tions of the reform committee, now that the saloons hare been closed on Sunday?” queried a Stab reporter of Attorney Theodore Alvord this afternoon.Mr. Alyord hinted that if the committee had any news with reference to its further intentions to give out, it would go to the Register. He did state, however, that it was the intention of the committee to again prosecute the Cedar Point Pleasure Resort company, this time for keeping the bar on the steamer Wehrle open yesterday. *It is currently reported that beer and liquors were sold on that boat yesterday, the belief being that bo long as'she was not tied up to the nock, the committee would have no right to make arrests and the courts here have no jurisdiction to prosecute the case.“Why,” continued Mr. Alvord, “that’s nonsense; you might just as well say that we wouldn’t have any jurisdiction over the fountain in the park because it is wet. Our fish and game laws give the officers jurisdiction out on the lake to the Canadian line; why not the other laws?“Yes, we would have had warrants out before this time for the Cedar Point people had I not been engaged in another case today,” concluded Mr. Alvord. ——----
