LAST OF THE WYANDOTS.Remains of “Old Mother Solomon” Laid by the Side or Departed Uraveg.Upper Sandusky, 0., Augnst 19.—[Special'l—The funeral of '‘Old Mother Solomon,” as sli*was familiarly known in this pan.of the State, the last woman ofthe historical, once powerful Wyandottribe of Indians, occurred this morning. The services were held in the widely-noted old mission church in the northeastern part of the city, the edifice that was constructed for Ini people by the M. E. missionaries yea 9 ago, and in which she was converted to Christianity. In spite of a drenching rain the church was crowded to overflowing, pioneers from all parts of the county being present. Rev. lt;i. Lease, pastor of the M. E. Church here, had charge of the services, which were exceedingly impressive. At their close all that reinaiued mortal of the last trace in Ohio of a once universally feared tribe of savages was laid to rest in the Indian burial grounds near, and side by side the eraves of Be tween-the-Logs, Monaco and scores of other famous Indians.
