Navy students are also enrolled in Army and Air Force senior enlisted academies in the United States.“I’d like to see those numbers increase, and especially get some Marine Corps students here,” he said.SEA students put in a long eight-hour day, with classroom lectures, homework and reading material. With PT figured in, the day runs from 0700 to 1630, he said. “It’s not unusual from our students to be in class at 2100 or 2200 hours, finishing up assignments and presentations.”If they can find spare time,the senior enlisted have community service projects such as Habitat for Humanity, or painting shelters for the homeless, such as Lucy’s Hearth in Middletown.Juskiewicz credited his predecessor with leaving SEA in fine shape. “Master Chief Rao improved every aspect of this academy,” he said.
