Five Waco residents were among the 99] Southwest Texas State University students who filed for degrees awarded in summer commencement ceremonies Aug. 13 in Strahan Coliseum. The commencement speaker was San Antonio Mayor Henry Cisneros. aco students included Dan Adams Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Adams of 1111 Herring, who received a bachelor of science in industrial arts degree; Charles H. Ben nett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cooper Bennett of North 19th Street, who received a bachelor of science in oc cupational education degree; Stephen LeRoy Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Campbell of 3716 Hubby, who received a bachelor in education degree with a major in history; Dianne D. Black mon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary T. Blackmon of 6300 Wiethorn, who received an associate of applied science degree with a major in respiratory therapy; and Frederica L. Meeks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. Meeks of 501 Preston, who received an associate of applied science degree with a major in respiratory therapy. TUESDAY NIGHT CO Rec. Volleyball starts up again at the Waco Y Family Center August 30. Deadline to sign up is August 25. Coach's meeting will be at 7 p.m. August 29. Cost is 3/5 per team.
