RIVERSIDE, Calif. (UPI)— The body of a visiting minister from Battle Creek, Mich., was found dumped in a vacant lot Wednesday next to an elemen tary school. Police said the victim was Eugene N. Fatato, 45, who had served as interim minister at a Seventh Day Baptist church here since June. He had planned to return to Michigan this week end. Police said Fatato had been beaten on the head with a sharp instrument ‘‘such as a hatchet.’’ He was last seen Tuesday night when he left the studios of radio station KBBL where he had taped his regular program, ‘‘The News and The Bible.” A church spokesman said Fa tato was a minister at Battle Creek for eight years but re signed one year ago to teach building trades at the Calhoun County Vocational Center.
