HEDDING, N. H., Aug. 18.—More than 2000 persons, coming from all parts of New England and beyond, today at tended Old Home Day, held on the Hed ding camp grounds. Robert H. New comb, assistant to the president of the Boston Maine railroad, delivered an interesting address on “Community Spirit. Henry G. Weld, former presi ent of the Massachusetts State Senate and,chairman of the Old Home Day committee, presided at the meeting. The morning was taken up with ath letic events. A nine representing New fields, N. H., defeated the local team this afternoon in a game of baseball by the score of 8 to 3. This afternoon and evening there were band concerts. An immense bonfire this evening terminated the day's celebration. Next week, beginning on Sunday, will be camp meeting week, when noted speakers from all parts of the world will deliver addresses.
