McCullough Is trying anexperiment on his farm this season that will be watched with great interest by all the farmers of this section. lie is trying a crop of stock peas and soy beans, and Wednesday he cut some of the crop with which he will test its value as fodder.The peas and beans grow about waist high and are mown with an ordinary mower like clover, and when cured are eaid to be the finest fodder iu the land for cattle and sheep.Capt. McCullough will permit partof bn c op fcj mature when he will cut it and hull the peas and beans out ardt«ast them as a fatening feed for hogs.The vines for these will also bes acked and used for feed.He eays they yield from nothing to 100 bushels per acre and the seed of the beaus cost from $1.00 to $4.00 per bushel and the peas from 75c to $1 50.
